Stunt scooter individual parts should be coordinated and of high quality so that your scooter ultimately represents a masterpiece and offers you optimal performance and durability.
A stunt scooter consists of these components:
Key components of a stunt scooter include the Deck and the Bar. Parts connected to the Bar include the Fork and the Clamp, so it's important to ensure they are compatible. To enable your stunt scooter to spin, the Headset is situated between the Bar, Deck, and Fork. Additionally, you'll need two Wheels and Griptape on the Deck to provide a secure grip for your scooter. Additional parts like Pegs, Fenders, Brakes, and Bar-Ends are also available in our webshop. Of course, every part of your scooter can be replaced and upgraded to enhance its performance.
When selecting components for your stunt scooter, compatibility is key. Ensure the parts fit your scooter. For questions about components or replacement parts, our Rideside team is here to assist you.
The ideal length and width of your Deck depend on your shoe size, riding style, and the tricks you intend to perform. Wider decks are heavier but easier to catch.
When it comes to bars, consider two main factors:
Bars can be made of aluminum, steel, or titanium. Aluminum is extremely lightweight, while steel bars are heavier but more durable. If you're looking for a bar that's lightweight yet strong, titanium bars are ideal.
The height of the bar also matters. The right bar should suit your height and riding style. Taller bars offer more control, while shorter bars are better for technical tricks and are lighter. For trick-oriented scooters, the bar should ideally reach your waistband. If you plan to use your scooter primarily for commuting, a slightly taller bar reaching your navel or slightly above is appropriate. Finally, always ensure your bar requires a slit and that it matches the compression and fork specifications.
Since the fork and clamp are connected to the bar, they must be compatible with it. The fork is crucial for the stability of your stunt scooter. Additionally, ensure that the size of your desired wheels matches your fork. Forks can be connected to the bar in 4 different ways:
Clamps are mostly made of aluminum, making them lightweight. Consider that the clamp must match the diameter of the bar. Clamps are available in two types based on diameter:

The headset is located in the headtube of the deck. It sits between the bar and fork of your stunt scooter, allowing smooth steering. A high-quality headset is essential for extremely fast spinning, which is crucial for tricks and general riding control. Make sure to regularly oil your headset. In the accessories category, you can find the appropriate oil. There are two types of headsets:
Integrated headsets are smoother and more stable, making them suitable for advanced tricks. Non-integrated headsets, on the other hand, can be used especially if you primarily use your scooter for everyday commuting.
The wheels of your stunt scooter consist of a sturdy aluminum core tightly bonded with a hard rubber coating. We prioritize high-stability wheels in our assortment, avoiding easily breakable wheels with a plastic core. When selecting your wheels, consider:
Most wheels have a PU hardness of 86A, providing both speed and grip. For even faster rolling, you can opt for harder wheels. However, note that harder wheels have less grip on ramps. Softer wheels offer more grip but are slower and wear out faster.
The diameter of your wheels depends on your age and where you prefer to ride your scooter. We recommend 100mm wheels for younger children, while children aged around 9 years and adults typically use wheels with a diameter of 110-120 mm. For primarily commuting scooters, opt for a 120mm diameter.
There are now wheels available in various widths. Most wheels are 24mm wide, but some manufacturers also produce wider wheels up to 30mm. Additionally, ensure that wider wheels are compatible with your deck and fork.
Each wheel contains two bearings. To keep them lasting long and rolling fast, regularly lubricate them with special bearing oils.
Grips are made of rubber. The softer and thicker they are, the more they cushion landings. Of course, harder grips are more durable. When selecting grips, you can choose based on your favorite colors. Grip diameters are standardized, so all grips fit on any bar.
When choosing griptape, ensure it's rough and durable, and matches the width of your deck.
